Watched all her village burn as a young orphan, taken in by the culprits. She was just standing in the middle of the road crying, the leader walked up to her and said

"No mere bug could survive something like this, you are not like them, you are strong. So I won't let strength be wasted on pathetic weaklings, come with me."

Those assassins themselves were taken as babies and raised to think that only the strong are useful. Since their attack on the village (which they were hired to do) was brutal it really should've left no survivors. But Samantha survived, so they took her in as to not waste her strength.

Her true self is suicidal and believes that for the death's she caused while under the law of assassin code (Do your job or be killed), she doesn't deserve to continue existing and that every bit of her, even memory, should be erased

"Please don't remember me, I don't deserve to be in your memory"

Without her mask she will often reflect on her actions in silence however her senses are sharp and she cannot be snuck up on.

She doesn't like others in her personal bubble and will react harshly if someone tries to touch her. Her mask is enchanted to block out emotions and she despises those who power that insist theirs to increase their strength deeming them to be pathetic (Example: Traitor lord). However she can't take a compliment to save her life and becomes incredibly flustered if complimented or given a gift.
