I've really been slacking on character bios lately. x_x In my defense, I was sick recently plus I've been kinda stressed out about some stuff in real life lately and it's kinda been affecting my ability to draw (don't worry, I'm fine. It's just adulthood stress). Also, a lot of my remaining characters that need bios are humans that I still need to figure out their designs a bit more, so that's taking some time. So for now, here's one from a design sheet that I've made into a new OC.

Name: Clarinet

Gender: Female (she/her/herself)

Species: Cat

Favorite Food: Grape Soda

Likes: Angsty art, painting, music, woodwind instruments (mostly the clarinet), tragedies, writing, long naps, and money.

Dislikes: Waking up early, being poor, running out of art supplies, and super energetic people.

Personality: Clarinet is a believer in the idea that true art is angsty. She loves to paint pictures and play music that provoke strong emotions from their audiences, and many of her works lean on the tragic side. Despite this, she is capable of creating happy and feel-good works when she wants to, and if anything the type of art she creates largely depends on her mood. She tends to be a bit gloomy, withdrawn, and tired from poor sleeping habits. Like many artists, she has a low opinion of her own art and is quick to notice any mistakes she's made. Despite her views on art, she is far from being a snob and is often intrigued by the works of others. She's even known to offer advice and encouragement to new artists. She's almost always tired due to staying up late to finish art commissions.

History: At a young age, Clarinet was taught how to paint by her father. As she grew older, she also began to learn how to play musical instruments and how to write poetry.

Current-Bio: Clarinet is an artist who makes a living off of painting commissions, though it's implied she barely makes ends meet. She also occasionally plays in her town's local symphony orchestra.

Meta-History: Clarinet was created in early 2023 on a design sheet Late Night Doodles Feb 2023 I basically decided I wanted an artist cat character so she was the result. In truth, I had a name for her back when I was coloring her for the design sheet, but I've long forgotten it. |D That's what I get for not writing it down. I've been wanting to name a character "Clarinet" for awhile now, but idk if she's really who I wanted to have the name, but it's the only name that's sticking so yeah (I might make another character with the name in the future). The reason why I want to name a character "Clarinet" is because I was a slight band geek back in my middle school and high school days. I originally wanted to play the flute, but couldn't because of my overbite, so I decided I'd be like Squidward and chose the clarinet. I stayed in band from 6th grade all the way to the end of high school, and while I haven't played my clarinet in over eight years now I still have fond memories of it and would maybe like to try playing it again for fun eventually.
