Easily one of my favorite fairy characters that I've designed. Honestly, all of the fairy character bios for this story look better than the human ones. XD

Name: Rosethorn

Species: Fairy

Favorite Food: Rose Nectar

Likes: Roses, magic, dancing, Metapeta, watching the stars, peaceful days, warm places, and sparkly things.

Dislikes: Aliens (or rather, aliens that invade planets), machines, people who act without thinking, and bitter foods.

Personality: Rosethorn is slightly stubborn and resistant change, preferring to have a routine. Naturally when her peaceful life is threatened by an alien invasion, Rosethorn is rather rattled. Despite this, she's capable of keeping a cool head during tense moments and prefers to think things through before acting. She cares a lot about her fellow fairies and looks out for them, but isn't afraid to criticize them when things go wrong. She's very loyal to Metapeta and sticks by her side despite not understanding her friends interest in science. She has a strong love of flowers and magic. While she isn't fond of aliens, she's rather indifferent about humans.

Home: Land of the Fairies

History: Rosethorn grew up in a fairy village hidden from the human societies around them. Growing up she learned many magic spells, but otherwise lived a peaceful life with her fellow fairies. At a young age, she befriended Metapeta, a fairy with an unusual interest in science and machinery. However, when she and the other fairies learned that Prince Thistle had broken up with Princess Wex of the Celedon Empire causing the aliens to declare war on the fairies and the rest of the planet, Rosethorn knew she had to do something. Thankfully Metapeta had designed mecha suits to fight the aliens, but Rosethorn was quick to point out that the mecha were too big for the fairies to pilot. The fairies then decided to seek out humans to pilot the mechas, and ending up recruiting high schoolers Lop and Yun.

Current Bio: Rosethorn currently lives in the Land of the Fairies. She helps Metapeta analyze the aliens and rebuild the mecha.

Meta-History: Rosethorn was created in 2014 for the final project of my creative writing class (which I posted here: Galactic Sugar Rush but you really don't need to read it because it's not written well). Similarly to the main characters Lop and Yun, Rosethorn was written to be a foil to her fellow fairy Metapeta, and is more of a standard magical fairy than Metapeta, who has an interest in science. She and Rosemary, another fairy character from another story, both have "Rose" in their names, but Rosethorn was created several years before Rosemary.

Relationships with other characters:

Lop: Rosethorn and Lop become friends rather quickly.

Yun: Rosethorn and Yun didn't see eye-to-eye originally, but the two eventually become friends.

Metapeta: Rosethorn and Metapeta are best friends. Despite this, Rosethorn is often quick to question Metapeta's inventions, though she does admire her friends achievements.

Prince Thistle: Rosethorn is somewhat critical of the prince, but she still supports him.
