(Kitty cat story based as closely to her OG PKM story as possible.)
Named Thornkit for her spiky, wiry fur. Thornkit was an energetic kit, always tumbling around, getting caught in any brambles she'd pass. As an apprentice, she'd start to calm down. Learning to love the forest she called home until her senior mentor suddenly collapsed turning a training session. She understood he was an old cat, but he wasn't in the elders' den, so he should've been fine, right!? Despite Thornpaw rushing back to camp to fetch her medicine cat, they got back just in time for the medicine cat to feel his heart stop beating.
Receiving a new mentor for her final month of training felt like an insult. Thornpaw just followed along silently, fairly unresponsive. Despite her attitude by the time she passed her assessment, and earned her warrior name, she was given the name Thornberry because deep down, she really is a kind soul.
Over time, she truly did grow into her name, with her more spiky, cold exterior like a thorn, but on the inside, she is sweet like a tasty berry.
