Hello, and Happy New Year! I'm here with a critique for Critmas 2018- Let's go!
This is a great concept. It's immediately frightening, and it's worse that it's something that can blend in and look entirely innocent until you come into contact with it, at which point it would be too late. Unlike, say, a T-Rex, and more like a Raptor, if Jurassic Park is correct about such things. Of course, you don't say anything about it attacking the living; it scavenges remains, something like the Tarbosaurus. But I should imagine that as it absorbs information and experience, it might start to get a bit restless, and want to expand its reach a little bit, which is also like the tarbosaurus, which was, apparently, both a predator and a scavenger. So I guess you can never discount a change of heart or stomach, even in a fantasy creature. Even if it doesn't attack the living, your wonderful creation is not something many people would feel very safe around if it existed.
