You all know about Dragon island right? But what if I told you about Night Fury island? Night Fury island used to be full of Night Furies, until a hunter named Grimmel came and killed nearly all of the Night Furies. The rest of them flew away to hide on Impossible Island.

No humans would ever go there. One day a baby Night Fury named Nightfall was in a nest with his mother and father. His mother had blue eyes like him and his father had green eyes like his brother. The Night Fury had a brother who went missing.

His brother's name was Nightshade but Nightfall would call him Toothless. When all Night Furies left their island Toothless was left behind by accident. When his parents realized he was gone it too late to turn back to get him.

Nightfall was distraught. His parents were very overprotective of him now since his brother was missing. Nightfall was nestled under his mother's wing. He heard wingflaps and looked up to see his best friend Slaughter the Monsterus Nightmare.

"Hey Nightfall! I found something!" Slaughter said as he sat next to him. "Not so loud. My parents are asleep." Nightfall said. "What did you find?"

"Well I was flying around and saw a big island. And there were humans. I think that place is called berk." Nightfalls eyes widened. "Wanna go there?" Slaughter said as he smirked. Nightfall glanced at his parents at they slept. He looked back at Slaughter. "I don't know. After what happend to Toothless I think I should stay away from humans."

Slaughter nudged Nightfall with his nose. "Come on. It'll be fun. I'll ask again do you want to go there?" Nightfall looked down at his feet. 'Should I go there?' He thought. He looked back at Slaughter who was wagging his tail anxiously. "I'm coming with you."

"Slaughter we've been flying for hours, how far is the island?" Nightfall said. Slaughter smirked and pointed at an island. "Berk!" Nightfall said. He and Slaughter started flying towards a rock when suddenly an arrow whizzed past Nightfall.

He heard Slaughter screech and saw him falling towards the ground. Slaughter's head collided with a rock. Nightfall plummeted towards him and saw blood on his head. A human ran towards Slaughter holding an axe. Slaughter screeched and struggled to fly away but the arrow pinned his wing to the ground.

Then a human girl grabbed Slaughter and ran somewhere else. Nightfall followed her and Slaughter. He hid behind a corner as he Slaughter sniff the humans hand. The girl giggled at this and pet his head. Nightfall tilted his head. The girl saw him and gasped. "A Night Fury." She said. She slowly walked over to Nightfall. He walked over to the girl and sniffed her hand.

"Where are those dragons?!" Nightfall heard a human say. The human girl gasped and grabbed them both. She ran to her house and sat them on a small bed. Nightfall tilted his head as she grabbed a flat brown thing with a spikey thing. "Don't worry I won't hurt you." She said. "I made this for if I ever got a dragon. It's called a saddle." She said.

Slaughter sniffed it curiously. "I'll be right back." The girl said as she left the house. "This looks cool!" Slaughter said. "No way am I going back home! Besides those humans will kill us if they see us." Nightfall flew towards a window. He saw a cave nearby. He loved the wild and didn't want to be confined to one place.

"I see you looking out the window." Slaughter said. "How about you live at that cave? You can visit at times." Nightfall smiled and nodded. "See you tomorrow?" Nightfall said. Slaughter nodded and flew back to the bed. Nightfall flew to the cave. He looked outside and was worried about his parents. The he closed his eyes but didn't get any sleep.
