Getting a DD is a simply a matter of one of those authorized to give a DD happens across your work and likes one.
This one was picked I am sure for the perfection of the natural light, color balance, dynamic range, composition, and fine detail. Natural light, as you know, can be a blessing or a curse, depending on how ow you shoot it and the camera's settings. You got it totally right on this one.

This is beautiful, and very unexpected. When I saw this under DD's, I thought it might be another fetish portrait of some women by a pool. I was happily surprised, to see some variety and grace through the male form, in this piece of art.
