Instead of using the pan to block the blow, she decided Ayumi's meal was the first priority... What determination does it take to endure any kind of suffering for the sake of another? One you do not know. One who doesn't love you. One who loathes, detests and abhors you.

This assassin has a mysterious past, it's unclear why she decided to devote the rest of her life repenting for her sins, let alone what drove her to take Ayumi's family away. One can only guess...

The life of a shinobi must be hard, blocking your emotions to take the lives of others... I guess she must've died a little when she saw what she had done to this sweet little girl.

Stuff I've said in the previous pages:
This is actually a back story for one of my characters so it might be a little confusing. Basically, the story focuses around Ayumi who has purple hair. She was originally a side character but I've decided to centre the story around hers to make the manga a lot shorter. Her story started off as just 4 pages but I've decided to elaborate on it a bit to share it with everyone who's reading it now.

Technique:
Actual comic done on paper with screentones digitally inserted. The "dots" were the only screentones I used. blood effects, zoom lines and whatnot were done manually, freehand or with a ruler.
