Backstory:
Varan is a wyvern like kaiju who used to inhabit the countryside of Japan where people actually considered him a deity and used to worship him. In the present day, a team of researchers and some troops with tanks from AKRO were sent there after they received strong signals of a kaiju inhabiting the area. They found the dormant Varan who they were going to capture but were interrupted by a rogue Rodan, which ended waking up Varan. After which they tried capturing both, but the two ended up fighting and destroying the whole area, killing the people around the area they were fighting in, including the people from AKRO.

Abilities:
•Varan can fly at very high speed, competing against Rodan's speed: Mach 6-13
•He can also use the spikes on his tail to attack, as seen in his fight with a Rodan where he impales his spikes into the Rodan's abdomen
•He can produce a red sonic beam from his mouth which are very effective against his enemies
•He is able to withstand a lot of damage, including attacks from tanks, machine guns and a Rodan at the same time

Diet:
Varan eats smaller kaijus.
