Description
“We have a massive fire in Tartok, get out there now!”
The voice shouting over speakers was undeniable and it didn’t take the young male long to pull himself up and onto his feet - only tripping over his tail once. “I’m u, I’m up!” Galo had never had much problem in waking up from a dead sleep, that’s just how he was, always ready and itching to go. Sleep was for the weak. Many of his colleagues would have been rather unamused by his constant bubbling energy as while they needed to down a cup of caffeine, he seemed to only be fueled by spirit and charm.
Galo was lucky, he had been specially requested by his alpha, Niemand, to be part of this team. To be part of Burning Rescue was to him as good as an ice cream cone handed to a toddler. Never had he been more proud than the day he’d been accepted onto the team. Despite the high mortality rate of those who worked over the years - Galo didn’t fear anything and he was more than willing to put himself in such dangers if it meant helping others.
Being part of the Borga pack meant he had such duties! Though it was still awe inspiring to actually be able to see deities, specifically Aga when the team rushed to the site of the fire. Unlike the Borga and Meelanik packs who rarely saw their deities, the Aga packs had always seemed to dwell closely with theirs. The pack members tried not to meddle in the affairs of the two more estranged groups. Despite many knowing of their current wars and struggle for peace. But when those cursed by Meelanik inflicted chaos onto their lands they often had to call for backup. Only the Borga pack had enough skill to know how to defuse the fires caused by them.
Galo was a firefighter through and through - but he was also a showoff. He didn’t miss the opportunity to loudly assure Aga that he’d take care of the fire and fire starters alike, and with a gallant puff of his chest went rushing into the flaming forest despite his comrades telling him to wait. He was sure that the unamused expression he caught on Aga’s face was directed to anyone but him.
Whatever the reason, Galo felt his already pounding heart skip a beat and a brand new grin coming to his features as he felt his body ripple with adrenaline. He’d found the fire starter. “Galo, that’s the leader of Mad Burnish - it’s dangerous do not attack!!” Gunner shouted not far. Galo hadn’t even noticed he had been there at all. Instead, he was already charging forward, and he could swear he saw a flicker in the Toki’s eyes - amusement.
