Description

Jordan spent some time within his bedroom reading and writing notes down on his next recipe to try out. His phone rings on his nightstand, putting the book down and answers it.

“Moshi moshi.” He said in another language.

“Huh?” Samuel said.

“Samuel!” Jordan said with shock. “Oh, I’m so sorry… I forgot you didn’t understand the other language after your Rotom was malfunctioning.”

“It’s okay...I just haven’t gotten to studying it for a while.” Samuel said with a sigh. “Anyways! Do you have plans tonight?”

“No? Why?”

“Well, I’ve winded up winning tickets to a magician show in Lumiose City. I was in a battle and the bet was if the trainer won, they would get the tickets. Can you believe it?”

Jordan got out of bed while he got out of his PJs and into his clothes. He put his phone on speaker made and talked while getting dressed in the process

“That is quite the win…” Jordan said. “What time?”

“At 7 PM tonight.” Samuel said, while sitting down for his dinner. “I was thinking about heading out to Lumiose at 6:30, I’ll have my mom drive me in.”

“Sounds good. I’ll meet you there.” Jordan said as he finished getting dressed. “Goodbye.” He hung up the phone and headed into the kitchen to bake his dinner. “I better try one of the recipes while I wait to go to the city.”

---------------------------------------------------------------------

6:50 PM arrived. Jordan arrived to Lumiose City on rollerblades, making sure not to be late to the show. Samuel was already at the theater just before Jordan arrived, keeping the tickets hidden away just so no one would steal them. Jordan looked at his watch for the time for a brief second while and to hear the exact location of the theater from his phone.

“Alright, I’ll be able to make it.” Jordan said, slowing down a little within town.

“Make a left turn on Appleseed ave, then your destination will be on the right.”

Jordan made his turn and saw Samuel outside the theater. Giving a quick hollar at Sam, Jordan quickly shifted his rollerblades to slow down and with a given shock, stopped completely at the bench, all without injuring himself.

“Quite the way to stop on rollerblades, isn’t it?” Samuel said.

“Normally, I don’t land that.” Jordan said, beginning to take off the rollerblades and put his shoes on. “Must have been lucky this time. Looks like it’s good to go for the show.”

“Well you see…” Samuel said just as he started to explain the situation between the manager of the theater and the magician that was supposed to come.

“The manager canceled the show?!” Jordan said, tense in his tone.

“He’d offer refunds but I had to refuse them because I had won them from a battle.”

The manager stormed out of the theaters, frantically pacing around with anxiety and muttering about the show being ruined and the rest of the theater being shut down early but then… They just looked at the two and said… “Come inside!” The manager said, grabbing the both of them and going inside the theater.

----------------------------------------------

“Boys, I am really in dire need of someone to fill in.” The manager said, begging the two. “Ms. Bellic had to back out due to a family matter outside the city. I set it up to be this magician known as Zatanna.”

Samuel and Jordan looked at the manager who was now on his knees, pleading for them.

“If you need money from this, I’ll gladly pay you with half of the ticket sales.”

“I don’t need it.” Samuel responded. “I have a family that runs a Miltank farm.”

“I guess I could take some of it, sir.” Jordan said.

“Does this mean you’ll do it?” The manager said. seconds later as Samuel and Jordan nodded their heads with a ‘Yes’. “OH, THANK YOU!”

The manager walked over to the empty theater and the two followed him to the stage.

“I think you could be Zatanna for tonight-” Jordan said, before he stopped and looked at Samuel’s expression.

Samuel had a look of bitter anger especially after he had to experience going through a transformation into her as Jordan was asleep for their meetup.

“Sorry…” Jordan said with a bit of despair in his voice.

“It’s fine, Jord.” Samuel said. “I’ve grown to move on from that incident… Took me a long while to have to find a way out of that damn living suit and then had to be around Mary for a while to calm myself down.”

“Thanks… Perhaps, I’ll portray Zatanna for the night.” Jordan said, now thinking positively.

“Splendid.” The manager said. “I’ll have an I.O.U written down for you guys.”

They went up onto the stage and through the curtain and came close to the wardrobe room.

“Take your time to relax for a little and get into the disguise. The show will happen in about one hour from now.”

Sam and Jordan were now in the wardrobe room, looking at a mirror, mini fridge and… a couch with two costumes of Zatanna?

“Wait…” Jordan said with confusion. “Why are there two costumes? I thought there could be only one of her?”

“That is true, gentleman.” The manager said. “But with her magical powers, we thought of having two Zatannas on stage for some extra zest to the show.”

“Wouldn’t the crowd look in confusion?” He said.

“They might… but at the same time, they’d believe it’s part of the act.”

“Interesting concept, sir.” Samuel said, approaching the costumes.

Both of them were identical in design… both had a fake slightly tan female bodysuit with fake breasts, fishnet stockings, a pair of black high heels, black panties, a white corset & bow tie and a black top hat.

“It was just an odd thought as I was panicking a bit.” The manager responded. “Then I also thought about the character.”

“That’s pretty suspicious.” Jordan thought.

“Anyways, I’ll leave you to it.” The manager said, closing the door and preparing for the evening.

Both of them looked at the door and turned to look at each other with little but still confusion at what they have gotten themselves into.

“Seems like we have a role to take on.” Samuel shrugged.

“Outside of the incident and having myself hypnotized to wear the extra Zatanna costume, I think it will be fine.” Jordan said.

Both saw their own dressing curtain, took their disguises and approached them ready to get into them.

“No point in delaying, let’s get dressed.”

They went into their curtains and minutes later their bodies now looked like the famous magician. They held their masks below their waistline and looked at the mirror, seeing their almost complete transformation.

“My god, I sometimes forget how cool it is to look like a female.” Jordan said, winking his left eye. “All of those extra features that males like us can never make.”

“The fake breasts seem so real…” Samuel said as he clichely rubbed his disguised hands on the breast. “The highest quality possible.”

“Almost feels like something Duplica could pull off. Make me wonder how she’s doing so far… I haven’t seen her since grabbing your birthday gift.”

“I’m sure she’s doing fine… We’ll have to maybe visit her soon.”

Samuel and Jordan sat down in two chairs, ready to put the final piece on to complete the change… The mask.

“I’ll have to tell my relatives about this potential new job.” Samuel said, taking off his glasses and closing his eyes.

“Golden might be surprised as well when I return to make some snacks.” Jordan said, also closing his eyes.

Both of them held their masks above their heads and whispered…

“Cheers.”

They slipped the masks over their heads, completing the transformation from two young men into two young females. They opened their eyes afterwards and looked into their mirror, no longer seeing Samuel Natsu and Jordan Wakai but seeing two Zatannas in their place. Both of their hearts skipped a beat, seeing this.

“Oh, man…” Jordan said with shock. “This is fabulous!” He sang out the word, ‘fabulous’.

“Happy to have this dream come true, Jordan?” Samuel asked.

“Absolutely!” Jordan said with excitement. “I bet since we’re doing this show we’ll have her magic as well.”

“I’ll have to try and remember how to say her magic words.” Samuel said. “Always says them backwards.”

“It’s known as Logomancy.” Jordan added. “A tribute to her father and a method to concentrate if I remember correctly. But it’s pretty easy once you get the hang of it, just follow me. … neP! repaP!”

A pen and paper out of thin air and Jordan grabbed the items and set them down on the table. Samuel looked at his friend writing the stuff down.

“Normally we say words forwards, right?”

Samuel nodded and Jordan proceeded with his quick lesson.

“For instance let’s say we want… an orange soda.”

He wrote down ‘Orange soda’ on the top of the paper.

“We just take the last letter of the word….”

Jordan pointed at ‘A’, the last letter of the word and wrote the letter at the bottom where ‘O’ was.

“From there, we go like this…” Jordan said and began to say the alphabet within the words backwards. “A-d-o-s. That is soda. E-g-n-a-r-o. And that’s how it is done. Now you try.”

“Okay… Orange soda, but backwards.” Samuel said, nervous about it.

Jordan patted him with some form of comfort. “Take it slow.”

Samuel took a few deep breaths and was ready to begin.

“ados…” Samuel slowly said.

“That’s good so far…” Jordan said.

“..egnarO.” Samuel completed his first spell and suddenly saw a glass bottle of Orange Soda appear in front of him.

“Congratulations!” Jordan said. “A few more rounds of this and you’ll get the hang of it…”
