I built the DSC phasers. As I only got angled photos instead of blueprints, I kinda eyeballed some proportions and details, but I think it turned out nice.Models by me

You are right! all the ship had logos of their own, only the engines had the same arrow on then and that was because they could not afford too change it every time there was a different ship.
The discovery have got the enterprise arrow on their uniform in gold metal, also the rank of the officer is on the badge by means of pips along the bottom left.
Awesome work on the phaser mate....

I guess if they were to do another Star Trek series in the TOS timeline they would rectify that issue. But could you imagine if they were using the USS Constellation logo or another ships logo instead of the USS Enterprise.Β Β

That would be very strange, we've only see ships from the series enterprise that predate the USS Enterprise. But they wasn't in star fleet... The model for the deadalus class just had stripes down the engine and that was years before the Constitution class.
It would be cool if each ship had their own symbol but very hard to track.

I like how they combined details from the TOS phaser with the old Cage laser pistol. Other than the need to put the delta on top... its a very well done design that can evolve into the TOS design.
The rifle I like too because its more practical than the TOS rifle, while still maintaining elements that are recognizable, like the three cylinders.
Overall... I'd love to see more, but unfortunately since I'm in America... they'll locking the series behind CBS All Access.
Any plans to build the Shenzou?

I will probably build the Discovery once better images / blueprints become available. As for the Shenzou... we'll see.

What are your thoughts on Discovery? I'm disappointed with them doing an era between two shows already released instead of going further or focusing on another ship at the same time as TNG or the later movies. I'm also a little wary they might shoehorn some Progressivism crap in there.
Also the ship class looks weird as fuck. I think I saw something similar to it years ago but it just looks so awkward.

I look forward to it. I don't mint the pre-TOS (actually, early TOS) era, the TNG era isn't my cup of tea. I too don't really like the whole gay agenda thing, but if they do it tastefully, I won't mind. I also like the ship, it's a 70's Ralph McQuarrie design (yeah, the guy who designed the Star Wars ships).
