Commodore's log, February 15, 2157. My new commission came with new responsibilities. Enterprise was assigned as the lead ship of the Earth Third Flottilla. Although I'm unwilling to admit, only Buran, the seventh addition to our Warp 5 fleet packs the needed punch. Although we keep churning out more and more of Deadalus class ships, they won't win the war for us. Especially now, with the Vulcans ceasing all support and the Andorians providing only non-military aid. Commander Reed says the Daedalus class won't disappoint us. I just hope he'll be right in the end...

Commodore Archer's hopes weren't high for the Daedalus class, up until the major battles of the War have taken place. The small, under-powered, but sturdy vessels often held the last lines before Starfleet could dispatch the NX fleet to the rescue. After the War, most remaining Daedalus class starships were refitted, producing a smooth, clean design that was comfortable for the new, mixed-speciel Federation Starfleet. This new, utilitarian design will become the standard for the upcoming centuries...

Yeah, people, I've built Aethernaut's Daedalus redesign. We can't have Enterprise steal all the glory, can we? I hope I can release her, I'll contact Aethernaut for the permission.
