told me about an art challenge over at Chuck Dixon's message boards with the topic of making a tv show into a cartoon. I thought it was a cool idea and sketched this up.Dig it

Now THIS is the real Knight Rider!! Not even one mention of him on the new series, as if the KITT now is the first one!

I know... I wanted to see if the show would get better, and I saw all the eps, but.. it just kept the same, it didn't improved.... it didn't worsen neither!

In the pilot the original KITT can be seen in the opening bit in the garage -- in pieces. He's been dismantled (booooo). And of course, the Hoff himself is in that pilot episode.

Oh I know that, I loved the movie, but it seems after the movie, some things went canon, and some didn't. And mention of the original KITT was never said again in the series, as if KITT was the first one.

They sorta indicate in the season finale that they were "looking through old case files" implying older than their version of FLAG -- but yeah, I don't like how they ignore that -- especially how they handled KARR. Blah.

Yeah... that was the only thing I kind of liked.
I hated the KARR episode, specially because it hinted that the current KITT was the first KITT, because even KARR didn't acknowledge the first one. And why would they want to go to KARR again? Or did they made KARR then KITT (Two Thousand) then KARR again and KITT (Three Thousand) again?!
I would have love to see Michael Knight Father again in the series with the first KITT still as his car and partner!

Or something, anything that says this isn't a square one reboot. I will say the retooling of the show near the end made it of a more "classic" flavor -- but it might be too little too late. It's probably going to be cancelled, and after that first half, who can blame NBC?
