Lars Ulrich from Metallica freaked out over the free music thing when Napster first started, and he sued the shit out of the guy who created it. I mean, I understand if a band that first starts out wants just a bit of compensation for their hardwork, but rich super stars like them already HAVE enough money. Being an artist ain't about the money.

i see now, music is an industry, u should have the talent and the money as well to keep it going...
once i started to listen to a band called element eighty they r from Texas anyway they just do 3 albums on a few years under varying records labels Universal was one of em, and Univ. didnt offer em shit, tours or even music videos, they just so talented i see but no way they broke up on the beginning of 2007 and then they come back together but they still play now their music just for the fans!

Yeah, I heard a band, I think it was Radiohead, they released an album for free on their website, but they said you can pay for it if you WANT to, and they made lots of money off it. I like "grassroots" bands

I haven't heard them yet either, just what they did. There's still allot f bands I want to listen to. I'm currently anticipating Chris Cornell's new solo album "Scream", he's one of my favorite vocalists.
