Description

  Lady Ellisa carefully made her way into the woods with a few other men following her. A demon had attacked earlier and so they were sent to try and chase him down as quickly as they could.
    They had gotten pretty close too however they had to back up a bit. A monster was up ahead chasing after the demon. And while she was certain they could fight the monster or the demon she didn’t believe they could fight them both off.
    So best let it all play out. If they unite they’ll need to plan. If the monster got in a fight with the demon and won they could go home. If the demon killed the monster then they’d swoop in and take him out while he was weakened.
    As they began to fan out a bit a loud roar erupted followed by a chorus of chains clanging causing her ears to ring and her legs to shake. Three of the eight others with her began to run away dropping their shields to go further.
    Ellisa turned expecting them to stop after a few seconds and come back however they just kept going. She was about to say something to get their attention until crashing behind her caught her attention.
    Three Northern Swamp Beasts were charging at them growling a bit as they crushed one of the men without much difficulty. Lady Ellisa winced at that and prepared to fight the large reptiles in front of her.
    “Attack Plan 1.U!” Nigel ordered as Lady Ellisa locked shields with the man near her. A woman moved near her locking shields while angling hers slightly while another man locked shields at another angle.
    She grunted a bit while the others made similar sounds as the beasts crashed into the shields one after another causing them to budge a bit while she began to pray that the onslaught would end quickly.
    Nigel nodded at them before dashing forward and slashing the bottom of his shield against one beast causing it to roar loudly at them all.
    Ellisa and the other three moved forward quickly as Nigel dashed behind them.
    Tilting the shields up slightly the woman near her fell as the reptile slammed its large clawed arms down at them.
    The beasts, seeing a sign of weakness tried getting her while Ellisa dashed forward grabbing the woman and casting a teleport spell to move both of them aside quickly.
    They were now split in two smaller groups while Nigel growled a bit in annoyance, “Attack Plan 2.C!”
    “But sir we need six men to pull this off.” One of the men explained.
    “I’ll do the work of two men! Now go!” He ordered.
    A few seconds later everyone was glowing in a gold light before it faded. Lady Ellisa began to feel slightly stronger after that. Thinking for a bit she realized Nigel must have cast a spell on them.
    “You defend and I’ll handle the attacking.” The woman explained getting a nod from Ellisa who moved her shield to block any upcoming attacks while sighing a bit.
    One of the beasts glared at them and charged while Ellisa blocked as best as she could groaning a bit from the impact as the woman moved a small vial out of her bag and threw it at the reptile’s eyes.
    It let out a screech as orange liquid splashed its eyes letting out loud sizzles. Spinning quickly its tail smashed into her shield sending her flying back and crashing into a tree as the woman kept fighting.
    She looked around a bit and found a man was hiding nearby. She began to wonder why he was so familiar to her. After a few seconds she realized he was the drug lord they were looking for.
    He was slowly moving back as she shakily stood, “Hey you…”
    Running off Lady Ellisa debated if she wanted to race after him or fight the swamp beasts. Noticing two were already defeated she began to run after the man. “I got this one!”
    Nigel was about to yell something to her but he stopped when he noticed another Northern Swamp Beast was coming at them.
    She felt a bit guilty leaving them like that but she knew the four of them could handle it. Plus she was too weak so they’d only be defending her especially against the monster or demon. So she’d go after someone she could handle.
    After a few seconds of chasing him she saw something leap from a tree and onto the criminal’s back and clinging onto him. She winced noticing his fangs before they were impaled in the man’s neck.
    It must have been the criminal killer. Rumors said a vampire lived in the swamp and killed the nearby criminals. She thought it was a joke till now.
    She ran a hand through her hair wondering if she should chase the vampire down. Taking a deep breath she charged in after the vampire arriving in a small clearing and slamming her shield into the vampire.
    Looking around she found the demon and monster were also nearby. She froze a bit wondering what to do. She should probably run. Heck she should definitely run. There is no way she could fight a monster, vampire, and demon on her own.
    Still she was the only one here. Looking down she found the drug dealer’s corpse. She should just take it and leave. Say he was attacked by a vampire and then he left.
    Still she served the king. Even if she was weak she couldn’t just let all of this go on. Raising her shield she began to approach the monster slowly.
    “Back up lady! The demon is mine!” He growled loudly at her.
    “Woah, woah, woah. I will be the one killing him today buddy.” The vampire explained sounding rather annoyed.
    “I’ll rip you limb from limb if you try!” The monster threatened.
    She sighed at that shook her head, “No one is ripping anyone apart. As a matter of fact all of you are under arrest.”
    “What for?” The vampire demanded.
    “You killed all the criminals who were supposed to be under arrest.”
    “And me?” Galakor asked growling.
    “You broke the deal. You are out of your territory, cave lord.”
    “You all can kill him if you wish but might I please interrogate him first? He has taken one of the members of the family I am protecting.” A polite voice interrupted.
    They all turned and found a butler was slowly entering the clearing.
    “What is an undead doing here?” The vampire asked, tilting his head.
    “Undead yes. But I am just a humble butler...oh...I regretfully must say the demon has warped away.”
    The monster began to growl and lash out destroying trees yelling and roaring all the while. A chain barely missed her head and Lady Ellisa realized she had to attack so she quickly slammed her shield against him.
    Turning around he glared down at her while she began to prepare for his counterattack “Oh you asked for it lady!”
    She hummed at that and darted towards the monster preparing to teleport if she needed.
    “Please stop this pointless fighting.” The butler requested.
    “Don’t worry about them. Focus on me.” The vampire ordered trying to slash the butler.
    “I’ll kill you all!” The monster yelled while Lady Ellisa prepared for a fight she couldn’t win.
