Toby was a human child who was abandoned by his parents after suffering a Fangpyre bite. He currently lives with Zoe and her parents, who've become his surrogate family. He can maintain a human appearance for brief periods of time, but reverts back to his Serpentine form when stressed, under pressure, or experiencing an adrenaline rush.
