Right, so here's something a bit different. My dad was talking about Photoshop yesterday, and it got me thinking. I've never actually done anything proper in Photoshop - only the occasional touch-up.So here is my first photoshop attempt. It's a self-portrait referenced from a semi-blurry photo. I kind of really wish I'd used a better photowith more contrast now, but then again, I didn't think I'd actually spend a while doing it.
Not perfect, but I'm pretty happy with it. It looks like me, which is always a good sign.
As I don't /actually/ know how to use Photoshop properly, and was just guessing for the most part, any tips would be appreciated. c:

That's really cool, it definitely does look like you. The eyes are REALLY amazing especially, they are so detailed and piercing. And I love all the subtle little tones you used in the skin. 
I could try to offer you some tips, but I'm not sure what in particular you feel you need help with, if you know what I mean. Like, what method did you actually use for this? It looks like you used quite a soft brush because the blending is really smooth, but I'm not sure if you tackled it on one layer or more than one or whatever. XD
