Description
I suppose this gives away a huge hint about my age but I'm just going to deal with itBetter be careful there Mr. Wolf, wouldn't want to turn into a rug
Red Ridinghood looks like she means business
This was fun and painful at the same time
When I started not a lot of people seemed to be using Red Ridinghood as a theme, but 5 hours of work later I checked again and a lot more people had
And I was just too lazy to restart
Lots of things about this really bug me, but you know what I'm really proud of it anyway
Especially the rock
Best rock I've ever drawn

Great job on the rock. cx
Personally I also really like the textures on the tree bark and the wolf's fur, both are quite well done.

Nice job on your entry - I admire how you've painted each object according to its texture - nothing looks unfinished. I especially like what you've started to do with the fur across the body of the wolf, keeping it thin in some areas, while there are stronger strokes and nice overlap in areas where the clumps would be more present, such as the neck, tail and stomach. The basket is also well rendered and I almost feel like you could reach out and touch the bumpy underside. I would suggest you keep working to push a stronger light source, more attention to how the atmosphere would effect the local color of each object, and to bring home that contrast. Some of the areas in this piece start to disappear when you hold it away at a distance, or view the smaller thumbnail, because the values are too similar. I do think this is a pretty successful illustration as far as the narrative is concerned, adding that axe lurking underneath her cape really helps sell the idea that this is a twisted version. Keep up the good work!

Dude. I friggin' love this. My favorite fable was Little Red Riding Hood, and mostly because there was a big wolf that ate an old lady in it.
Β Such a sad ending. But I love this twist. Mr. Wolf having some tea instead is so charming.

It really is a beautiful rock. The ominous glint on the ax is a nice touch, too. And I love the wolf; so fluffy looking!
