There probably wasn't a person alive that didn't think Annette was crazy for stepping into an MMA ring. When she took the opportunity to challenge Roxanne Maria Ashworthy, public opinion went from crazy to absolutely mental.

Annette sometimes had odd ways of "spicing things up" for the sake of her martial arts and her modeling. Normally her agency was okay with that, but Roxy didn't earn the title of "Conqueror" through close wins and split decisions. The champion of the American leagues had earned her spot in history as an ultimate fighter whose supreme arrogance was only surpassed by skill that spanned several disciplines. Her reputation for humiliating her beaten opponents ensured that Ann had the proper spotlight panned over her for her first foray.

In the days before, the ashen-haired fighter didn't offer a response to any of it.

Annette played it smart and kept her distance. Roxy's strength was in her deadly kicks tempered by years of Muay Thai experience. That forced the grennette's second option, which was her world-class Judo. Though normally a daring opponent would find themselves planted again and again in Roxy's grasp, Ann could just about counter with her jiu-jitsu to keep herself upright. The result was a game of cat and mouse. Annette teased and the veteran gave chase. Minutes passed without a single blow being landed on either side. However, it was Roxy's patience that gave out first. She was the higher-ranked fighter and she didn't get that way by staying idle.

When she threw herself into a tackle the Norwegian to the ground, Annette remained one step ahead. Her thighs shot up and wrapped around the champion's neck in a vice-like grip. Roxy instantly felt the constriction on her air flow and attempted to thrash her head free to no avail.

"Why struggle so hard? Enjoy this a little before you pass out." Roxy choked back a colorful protest trying to leave her throat and focused on the problem at hand. In her head, Roxy knew the Norwegian wasn't bluffing as she felt the intense pressure of her svelte thighs double with every slight twitch. Her hands planted to the floor as she prepared to make her move. Could the Conqueror reverse this? Or will she suffer the rare taste of defeat as the last seconds of the first round tapered away?
