My interpretation of the Mayan Creation Myth in a tapestry comic format."In the beginning were only Tepeu and Gucumatz. These two sat together and thought, and whatever they thought came into being. They thought earth, and there it was. They thought mountains, and so there were. They thought trees, and sky, and animals. Each came into being. Because none of these creatures could praise them, they formed more advanced beings of clay. Because the clay beings fell apart when wet, they made beings out of wood; however, the wooden beings caused trouble on the earth. The Gods sent a great flood to wipe out these beings, so that they could start over. With the help of Mountain Lion, Coyote, Parrot, and Crow they fashioned four new beings. These four beings performed well and are the ancestors of the QuichΓ©."

Wow, everything here is just so much win!!! an interpretation is of a guy and his pet snake thinking up an mmorpg and they brainstorm ideas, throw away crappy ones, and getting his other pets to give him ideas, he made the most successful RPG!
I really love the people at the end... so realistic and endearing as the rest of the picture.

There was a giant who drank the milk from the motherly cow and then fell asleep. In his sleep, he started sweating. His sweat drops became beings. He also gave birth to a six-headed son though his food... etc....

Very awesome! I like the cuteness of Tepeu and Gucumatz's expressions and the cartoony portrayal of how things went.. it sorta has a "Everyday diary of what I did at work" feel to it, which makes them seem more relateable than other gods. Since after all, what they did is invent something in a realistic way- with mistakes and deductions and revisions and seeking help from other folk to do the heavy lifting for the final version XD Too often people try and portray celestial characters as totally infallable and omnipotent, which just gives them no personality. I'm not sure why, but I'd feel more thankful to hear someone made me after a series of failures, because it's like an assurance that I'm properly designed to not include those failures? I dunno XD Real people aren't perfect so it's hard to relate to a god/gods that made humans instantly upon a whim and there were no mistakes.
So I like how we have this cute cartoony series of events leading up to the realistic people at the end, it works very well as a sequence since it has a clear visual separation of the world of gods and the world of us humans- which is only shown once in the final panel as if to say "And now your story begins! But this one is over for now!"
