This is my personal crest. I use it like a signature, and I'm trying to get one of those chinese signature stamps made of it so that I don't have to use my gay little stencil. It's the head of a gryphon, and yes, bird's tongues do go like that when they scream. Anyway, I started on this project about three years ago, and to tell the truth, it looked pretty crappy then. I decided to revamp it, and it took me forever (and a day) to complete because I kept putting it off. I am incredibly happy with how it turned out, even though my dog slept on the paper.Related content

Extremely dynamic, your avatar is actually what led me to your page. I'm not one hundred percent sure about having the cheek ruff overlap/touch the ears, but that's an extremely minor thing on which I've no particularly strong opinion. I really love the lines on this piece and the eye/beak/tongue line is really striking.
And yeah, I think tattoo designs in this particular style would work marvelously with the medium.
