The heavy atmosphere of smoke calmed and eased my mind. It had been a month, two weeks and 3 hours since I watched my dear companion fall down the cliff with his enemy in his grip. I don't like to think of it it, since it's a crime, but, I do wonder if anything was bewteen me and Holmes stricly professional.
