In these lands drowned so far below the ripples of surface light, the seafloor and its countless fauna are the desert ecosystems, the crinoids are what we know as palm trees, the sea mounts are our peaks, cliffs, and dunes, and the hydrothermal vents and brine pools, are nature's volcanic fury and lakes left behind for our use and danger alike. Though in these depths, no light of the heaven's lantern reaches, light from throughout by life still prevail, a reminder that no corner of our world is left without illumination by our Creator. Where darkness is black, light and life peirce through the veil of obscurity.
