I've been very sick with the flu for the past two weeks, and have been keeping myself distracted by playing "More Friends of Mineral Town" for the first time. As you may know, my obsession is FoMT, but I had recently received a MoFo1 cartridge in Japanese as a present, and I figured that if I'm stuck lying in bed doing nothing, I might as well practice a foreign language.

Now, while for me FoMT is the pinnacle of all things Harvest Moon, MoFo suddenly became a lot more interesting when I got to the Doc's blue heart event. He kept telling me he wanted to get me to relax and then he gave me... a vibrator?! Eh?! You think he'd be more enlightened than to believe in female hysteria, but whatever. ^_~ As I said, he probably didn't know what he REALLY gave me... I could just see the conversation in the clinic the week before that resulted in the purchase of the damn thing:

Elli: Oh, Doctor, I was looking through the phonebook and I found an ad for a new medical supply company called "Dr. Love." Isn't that a cute name?

Doctor (preoccupied, looking at a chart): Hmm? Oh, yes. I'll try them if you like. It's about reordering time, anyway. Just leave the number on my desk.

LOL, yeah. And you gotta give snaps to the sales operator who convinced him to buy it, too. God knows what else the Doctor bought.

Hey, fun fact! I've been informed the Doc's blue heart present is called a "Negative Ion" in the North American release. In the Japanese version, it's called a "Minus Ion." Why they changed it, I have know idea.
