Description
This is a lego spider I made in LDD and exported into Blender There are 2 other photos of this spider, one alternate color scheme, and one shown in Lego Digital Designer to verify its construction. If anyone knows how I can upload LDD files to deviant art, tell me since I would like to be able to share these creations.Process:
build in LDD
export LDraw File
import into LeoCAD
export as Wavefront
Import into blender
recolor
add missing pieces
add a skeleton to model
create eye model (this is a model, not a texture, since I want to move towards models for facial features)
add scenery
add lighting
add proper nodes for rendering materials
render
technically, one of the pieces i made isn't identical to the one in LDD, but they theoretically function the same. also, the 1x2 mini handle was recolored so that the handles were a different color. Lastly, the head is twisted in a slight roll, which shouldn't be possible for this build. but I did it because it looked cuter. the head can move up and down, just to clarify.
