A being born of the unfortunate meeting between a Gaster... and one of the many Echo's populating the VOID.
Echo, definition:
Those beings which, falling into the VOID, weaken and dissolve, leaving behind an imprint of WILL, but without a conscious MIND.
The Echo of RED has tried to consume a Gaster in the void and combined with him. Bonding with another living thing with a soul has given the echo back it's conscious thought... but unfortunately RED's and Gaster *do not get along*...
So the new creature, 'Russet', hends up with a more Gaster Dominated mind and full control of the body, but the secondary personality of the Echo is constantly trying to forcibly block any of the abilities they might get from being a version of RED.
So...
No devouring abilities
Russet has very VERY limited access to the RED's high tier soul-sensing abilities
But most of all Russet can not cut space(How RED's refer to carving portals in and out of the void) without the Echo's consent...
...leaving them stuck in place.
