[ kithood ] :
Littlekit was born alongside her siblings, Leopardkit and Scorchkit, to Lilacflicker and Wolfhowl. When the kits were very young, it was found out that Wolfhowl was unfaithful, breaking the family apart and leading the spiteful tom to leave WindClan all together. Lilacflicker abandoned the kits completely, leaving the kit-bearers to care for them but, because of their young age, they grew up happy as could be under the care of these cats. It wasn't long until the kits were turning into real cats with personalities, Leopardkit and Scorchkit becoming partners in crime and occasionally dragging Littlekit into the mix when she wasn't listening to the stories of the kit-bearers and elders. She wasn't a fan of the mischief but, seeing as they would do it anyway, she often tried to be the voice of reason and restrain her more wild siblings. Suddenly, a plague spread through the clans, killing many cats. Littlekit became even more protective of her siblings during this time in hopes of sparing them from the awful, scary illness. Luckily, the medicine cats found the cure and saved the clans. A fire suddenly swept through the territories and forced WindClan to shelter with RiverClan. Littlekit had been slow exiting camp and inhaled too much smoke but was saved by her future mentor who carried her to safety so the medicine cats could care for her. She was left wheezing and coughing for weeks after the escape. A moon later, after being able to return to their territory, the trio were apprenticed and received the names Scorchpaw, Leopardpaw, and Littlepaw.
[ apprenticeship ] :
Shortly after receiving their new titles, Sedgestar started a war with RiverClan due to grief and the tension from working together which led to the leader's death. It was during this time that Littlepaw and her siblings learned how much Lilacflicker hated them, their mother shooting down Scorchpaw's attempt to make conversation during a patrol then leaving the clan to avoid having to look at her children. This hurt Littlepaw deeply, struggling to understand how someone could bring kits into the world and hate them that much. Why bother having them? It was like Lilacflicker just had them to throw them away! Mallowcry had to comfort her apprentice and assure her it wasn't the siblings' fault. Littlepaw quickly learned to love hunting, using her speed to her advantage, but head on fighting wouldn't work for the small, frail she-cat. She had to learn to rush in, get in some blows, and run out of reach before she got hit. It was difficult but she eventually got the hang of it. Soon enough, the siblings became Leopardlilly, Scorchblaze, and Littlemouse.
[ warriorhood ] :
Shortly into their warriorhood, ThunderClan's leader, Brightstar, is murdered, leaving Littlemouse quite worried for the future of the clans. What if the murderers found their way into WindClan? What if her siblings were next? During this time, Scorchblaze started to bug a she-cat named Rosefire and slowly became mates. She was, of course, happy for her brother and tried to befriend the other she-cat but found herself getting tongue-tied in her nervousness. A leafbare just as harsh as the fire swept through the territories, killing many cats from greencough and starvation. Littlemouse lost a lot of weight during this time due to sacrificing her share of fresh-kill for elders and kit-bearers. After all, warriors were supposed to eat last. Rosefire found herself pregnant and, very publicly, tried to kill Scorchblaze for it. Oh, StarClan. She definitely lived up to her name. Littlemouse took it upon herself to help care for the kit-bearer, often visiting to give her food or change bedding. She would want someone to do the same for her so why not? When Rowankit was born, Rosefire and Scorchblaze doted on him as any parent should. She visited her nephew as much as possible and soon fell in love with the kit. During this time, she became friends with Sunpetal who was pregnant shortly after Rowankit was born. She was happy to take care of any kit-bearer so it was only more reason to come to the nursery. During this time, she started to fall for a tom named Kestrelbite but, after a fling and making her think it was really love, he broke up with her. She was crushed. She didn't do much for around a moon after the heartbreak to grieve. Luckily, Leopardlilly, Scorchblaze, and Sunpetal were there for her. One of the seven kits left with the clans moons ago, Quietstep, was assumed murdered as his body was found at the Moonpool without a head but the only skull on WindClan territory had double canines which the tom didn't have. This frightened Littlemouse. She didn't want anything to happen to anyone she loved! She couldn't let her family and friends be in harm's way! Silverstar was attacked by a cat who she claimed to be the murdered tom. Was the new leader going crazy like Sedgestar? That was a terrifying thought. Tensions between ThunderClan and ShadowClan turned into war due to border issues, the fighting stopped by a landslide due to heavy rain in the area. During a patrol, Pansybee, Jaguarspark, and Rowanflame, her nephew, found Twolegs on the territory, wearing orange skulls and yellow pelts with bloody markings on the trees. The patched molly was left trembling at the news of these strange Twolegs. Why were they here? It's not the right season! All the clans were having issues with the Twolegs which worried her further. Rosefire publicly broke up with Scorchblaze due to thinking she was bad for him. The grey and white molly was almost as hurt as her brother, wanting to know the full story. Sleetpaw, the medicine cat apprentice, went missing, leaving Little on edge. She had faith in Petalblink but what if something happened to her? Fernstar, the new leader of ThunderClan, came to WindClan to reveal the traitorous ways of the seven, resulting in Harvestwind being exiled with a kill on sight order like his siblings. Littlemouse was shaken by the news, concerned that the exiles would hurt her family. At least the snakes were outside of the clans.
A pack of coyotes invaded WindClan's camp, killing Geckotail and Foggypool as well as taking three lives from Silverstar. Littlemouse had fought hard during the battle, scared but willing to do anything to protect who she could.
Petalblink chose Darkpaw as her apprentice, leaving the grey molly hopeful for the clan.
Cats around the territories went missing, leading her to become even more cautious than usual to take care of her family and friends. The missing cats had returned, aside from Coyotedawn, but weren't able to have kits anymore, confusing her but she wanted to care for everyone.
An outsider named Amon joined WindClan, a joyous occasion for the anxious molly. There were more cats to defend the clan! It's never bad to have more cats.
A famine sweeps through the territories, causing Littlemouse to put off eating as much as possible to save food for those who needed it more than she did. She could go hungry as long as kits, caregivers, and elders were happy and healthy.
A patrol caught outsiders stealing prey and the confrontation ended in a fight that Tumbletoes and Bramblebloom did nothing to help with. What were they thinking?! What if someone was killed?! What if they kept stealing?!
Sassafrassshade was found to be abusing her apprentice, Shiverpaw, and was punished to live as a rogue in the territory. Littlemouse was shocked by the news and light punishment. It felt like a slap on the paw to her and many others, nevermind Shiverpaw's family.
WindClan and ThunderClan get into a skirmish over a hare. Yes, times were hard but which side of the border was it on to start? That should have been the deciding factor.
Jaycrest was murdered by a former member of the clan, Vermillionfeather, and Silverstar declared that no one should go out alone. The grey and white molly was relieved by the order. No one else would get hurt now, right?
Icestep blinded Sassafrassshade as revenge for hurting his daughter and was given the same punishment the abuser was to serve. The scene made Littlemouse sick to her stomach but it was deserved, right? If someone hurt her family, she wouldn't know what to do. She wouldn't attack them but... who's to say what should happen in that situation?
At the gathering, the medicine cats of ThunderClan, Wrenwater and Hydrangeawhisper, showed the clans how to disable fox snares to ensure no one else would die from them. Good. If one of her siblings got caught, someone could save them.
Rumbleflight and Stormwillow went missing days apart, making WindClan think Twolegs were returning. Littlemouse just hoped they would return. She had seen Dewfall, the mother of Stormwillow, panicking over her daughter so she was even more concerned.
Darkpaw completed his medicine cat training and was named Darkseeker by Petalblink. Surely that was a good thing... right?
Stagstride, the deputy of WindClan, and his adopted daughter, Sunpetal, were on a walk in search of Rumbleflight when they were attacked by a dog, killing the deputy and leaving Sunpetal missing an eye. Little was part of the patrol that found her friend, doing her best to calm down the golden warrior despite feeling sick from the gorey scene. Sunpetal later retired to be a caregiver after a conversation with the grey calico who encouraged her to do what she felt she had to.
Rumbleflight was finally found in a strange Twoleg structure called a barn in the care of outsiders named Lilac, Maybel, and Annabelle, the patrol returning the warrior home safely. Thank the Stars at least one of the missing were safe.
After a period of mourning, Silverstar named Flamecrest the new deputy of WindClan. The clan finally had a new deputy which meant Littlemouse could rest a little easier.
Just as before, cats from all the clans went missing again, assumed to have been taken by Twolegs. Although it was scary, all returned except Nerinenectar once again without the ability to have kits and a message from Petroleum: In the coming moons, the clans would face a threat unlike any other. How sad and terrifying.
Lilacwhisper was killed by a rogue trespassing and stealing prey from WindClan's territory, raising the tensions between the clans and outsiders. Hopefully, it was a one off occurrence.
At the gathering, it was announced that medicine cats may now take mates and have kits, met with a mixture of reactions but most seemed happy. It must have been hard for past medicine cats to watch everyone around them get to experience all life has to offer or have unrequited love for their whole lives. Good thing the current leaders were kind enough to end that.
Stormwillow, who had been missing for about 3 moons, was returned to her clan by an outsider named Banshee, only for the clan to find out the warrior had no memory of her life in WindClan. Littlemouse couldn't help but feel even worse for the family who had waited so long for their daughter to return, only for her to not remember them.
The punishment of Icestep for maiming Sassafrasshade finally came to an end, Silverstar allowing the tom to rejoin normal clan life. The family was finally reunited.
Vermillionfeather, now known as Red, sneaked into camp and took Butterflykit, his granddaughter, hostage with intent to kill her as revenge for everything WindClan had done to him. Red was chased from camp after Butterflykit narrowly avoided death where the exile was killed by Zinniacreek. One less problem to worry about, apparently.
Silverstar lost a life after being ambushed by a rogue in the territory, causing an uproar over the danger of outsiders. Littlemouse was on the fence about the whole thing. Yes, some outsiders were causing problems but it wasn't all of them. She could only remind her family to be very careful.
Blossomwind was killed by a rogue near the border, leading Thornshadow to kill an outsider named Pharoah in an attempt to avenge Blossomwind. Clearly the high tensions were making everything more and more dangerous.
At the gathering, a kittypet named Petroleum offered the clans to work with outsiders to stop the threat of Twolegs, starting an uproar until Hawkstar spoke up to ease the clans and get everyone to agree to the plan. Little shrank back into the crowd as everyone spoke their minds, leaving little room for argument. She just hoped everyone would be safe.
Outsiders and selected warriors came together to carry out the plan to disable the Twoleg monsters. Each leader lost at least one life, Huckleberry of ShadowClan and Snowbear of ThunderClan died, and many were injured but it seemed like they were successful. If only there were less casualties...
Silverstar was killed protecting her apprentice, Scorpionpaw, from a monster tearing up the moors. She was buried in the tunnels and lost her remaining lives in attempts to escape. While the clan mourned, Flamecrest travelled to Starlit Cavern to receive his nine lives and become Flamestar with Wishbone as his first deputy. Poor Silverstar but at least she could be happy among the stars.
A small patrol of ShadowClan and ThunderClan cats found a Twolegplace on the edge of the territories, forever changing the landscape. What was the point of disabling the monsters if they already made a home there? Littlemouse found little motivation during this time, barely able to do her duties. Why bother when they had pointless deaths to their warriors?
Wishbone, WindClan's deputy, went missing, assumed to be taken by Twolegs like Yewbriar of ShadowClan and Strawberrytangle of ThunderClan but Flamestar held out hope for his deputy's return. As much as she hoped he'd return as well, Little was sure it was time to just name a new deputy in case Wishbone remained missing. Soon enough, Martensmirk is named as Flamestar's second deputy. At least they had a deputy again...
At the gathering, a kittypet named Dixie revealed herself and demanded ShadowClan hand over Blackstag, an elder, for killing her kin during the Great War. She was chased off by ThunderClan Branchers but this threat left the clans divided. The grey calico wasn't sure what to think but clearly they had to do something before they were forced to see if the threats were real.
At the next gathering, the kittypet gang rolled an old construction vehicle into the gathering place, taking a live from each leader and killing or injuring many more before the monster exploded to cause even more carnage. Only rains from StarClan put out the flames, leaving the clans to return home in defeat. Why was this happening to them?! It wasn't the fault of all the clans that something horrible happened to one kittypet during a war!
After Oakridge, Ottersplash, and Fawnflutter were attacked by Roman, Dixie's mate, and others of the kittypet gang, Flamestar enforced new rules: No cat is to leave camp alone and patrols were doubled with emphasis on finding information about the kittypets. Violence was only to be used as a last resort. It was smart but seemed to give the kittypets too much credit. If they were willing to attack random cats in the territory, what's stopping them from causing havoc in the clans' camps?
