Description
This is a picture of Amelia and her family when she was a little girl. (proportions might be off, i don't draw little kids that often)Yes her hair is naturally like that, no highlights GET OVER IT, its my character.
There is the mention of blood and a cut back, but i didn't think that was warning worthy because it was not really described all that much.

Ask her or any other oc's or her family a question here: [link]
When Amelia was a girl of about 4 she would investigate her fathers inventions (he was a mechanic/inventor) on day she saw a big machine she decided to crawl in it to explore, on her way in she accidentally pressed the start button, the machine had to warm up so she didn't know that it was on, when she was inside a huge circular saw cut her back in half, thankfully her father heard the noise and was able to get her mother (a doctor) to sterilize and close the wound, Amelia was paralyzed for three years until her father was able to make her a steam engine to put into her back so it could function properly, at the age of 14 Amelia had come to be an armature mechanic and mad herself some Auto mail wings and attached them to the steam engine in her back.
This is a telling of that story:
Daddy, can i go look at the machines in your workshop, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease?
Sure, just be careful not to turn any on, and don't take them apart without me.
Ok! Thanks. Amelia walks through the kitchen and through the garage, she presses the special hidden button her father had shown her and she stepped onto the hydrolic lift that took her down to her fathers work room. She started tinkering with little objects, things that she already understood like a device made to reach into small places to retrieve things like rings or small change. As she was walking along a table of many inventions she noticed something big out of the corner of her eve, whenever her father had to use you would put something into it and then leave the room. by the time the machine was done, Amelia would have lost interest. She decided to check it out, she walked towards it the floor cold on her bare feet, she circled it and decided that she would crawl into it, as she was four she was small enough and she was smart enough. as she boosted herself up her hand accidentally pushed a button that started the machine, it had to warm up, so she had no idea it was running when she got inside then she herd a loud noise and a giant circular saw was coming down on her as it hit her back she felt the worst pain she had ever felt, her legs were flaling and the top of her foot hit the stop button before the saw could reach her head. Unfortunately it was too late, after the saw had gone through her spine and there had been a burst of blood. when her father heard the noise he knew something was wrong, he told his wife to gather her medical equipment and come to the workroom as quick as possible.
With the machine stopped the blade was lodged into her back, keeping the spine straight, not damaging the nerves, and keeping in some blood. Amelia's father saw her legs and some blood around her, he quickly detached the saw from the machine and dragged her out knowing that one wrong move might kill her. her mother, a trained doctor was able to safely remove the saw and close the wound, but because of the damage to the spinal cord, they had to leave something in he back so Amelia was paralyzed. when she woke up (she had passed out from the pain) she asked what happened, after her father told her, she said that she wanted him to build her something to let her move.
It took four years, but Her father did it, he had make a steam engine that would allow her to move. it took two years for her to get used to it, she was in pain most of the time, but she pulled through. And on her 12th birthday she said
"I want to fly"
So she started to make wings for herself and on her 14th birthday she had finished and had her mother attach them to the device in her back, and Amelia was about to take her first flight.
