I'm suddenly very hungry.
-This is so cool. I'm always impressed with artists who can replicate food at such a small scale. Not only that, but then to be able to match the right colors, too. Love this stuff!

This is really lovely, I can only imagine the amount of work it takes!
I always wonder though, when I see these food miniatures, do they have like a "purpose"? I mean, for example do you guys make whole miniature worlds with miniature humans or something? Or is this always a stand alone sort of art form? I've always asked myself that 'why food?' 'why this size?' (this is the question that intrigues me the most! Why so small? Is it like 'the smaller you can make it the better' kinda thing?) 'is there a doll size they're making this for?'
I don't know if I made any sense above LOL but bottom line: kickass work, unbelievable details, and really cool craft ;D

Thanks so much! And it really depends on the artist/collector. I initially was interested in miniature worlds because I have always been fascinated with stop-motion films and the art forms associated with it. Miniatures is, in fact, a huge art form itself. There are artists who specialize in certain miniatures like food, dolls, furniture, houses, etc. There are different scales, too. For example, Barbie is (I think) 1:6 scale. I work in 1:12 scale, so whatever is a foot long in real life is an inch long in 1:12 scale. I hope I covered all of your questions! If you have any more, feel free to ask!

Oh now I understand! So the purpose/size depends on the artist, cool. I have a lot of interest in dolls, so this for me is really magical
Keep up the awesome work!

The details are amazing! Thanks for including the penny so we can all marvel at the scale of these creations! I love Easter and the food looks scrumptious! I love your hot cross buns! I would have liked to see the contents of the "Tweets" box! Congratulations on your DD!

Thanks so much! And I just now realized you cant see the Tweets in their box! I have since then re-designed my Tweets boxes so that they are shorter and you can see the Tweets better from a lower angle.

I completely agree with Talty's comments. The only other thing I noticed is that the greens under the chicken look a little flat in terms of color variation, but the overall set really is spectacular. My favorite part is the color/texture of the exposed chicken. It's perfect!
