Dirk doesn’t stick around any children born of him because he gets distracted by how tiny/cute they are and worries about sullying them with his bloody hands.
John doesn’t like babies, they smell and are annoying and loud, and obviously are not nearly shiny enough for his magpie habits, so he’s trying to fix it.
Dave wants to finish his nap and these assholes are loud.
