This character was always vivid to me, for how short lived his appearance was. *Self Promotion* with the popularity of The Grudge and The Ring, I have kind of envisioned a crossover story where Kayako and Samara are staking some hapless hero/heroine-only to to find out they are actually seeking help! Because they themselves are being stalked by a malevolent entity that wants to absorb them into itself, complete with a moment where it pulls its shirt open to reveal a giant mouth in its chest-and the mouth actually talks, saying "Come...join me!"

It seems that I keep missing too much on vintage cartoony stuff. 
Ignorance tends to hurt sometimes when exposed.

Nice one, always enjoyed the ghost from the cartoon, kinda wish they also appeared in the IDW comics.
