"The Vulcan is a hydraulically or pneumatically driven, six-barreled, air-cooled, electrically fired Gatling-style cannon, which fires various ammunition types at an extremely high rate. Yet somehow, the gunsmiths of Fairview city have managed to rig this machine to fire the much more common .50 BMG ammo, making firing the Vulcan possible in the condition of the city. The M61 and its derivatives have been the principal cannon armament of the United States military fixed-wing aircraft for fifty years."
