Description
I got pretty inspired by All Tomorrows, and I’m making something involving speculative evolution. The Sabertooth Humans are people who are similar to cavemen when it comes to their life, but they are pretty intelligent and have a society that’s not too dissimilar to our own. They live on a part of a foreign plant that’s been going through it’s own ice age, and they have at least a tiny bit of DNA from sabertooth tigers. The first generation of these humans used to be modern humans, until they were genetically modified by an alien species (similar to the Qu from All Tomorrows) to be use like hunting dogs. After that alien species left, they celebrated their freedom and formed their own cultures.
The Space Hares are short, alien creatures that are not related to humans in the slightest, but they did befriend humanity, and they both kickstarted The Galactic Period of Humanity. The females in this species are the dominant sex in their species, and the males, despite being stronger, are the ones who take care of the joeys. Their species values intelligence over strength, which caused their societies to advance quicker than humanity. Despite their intelligence, they can not speak because they did not have the ability to do so, so they speak through body and sign language.
The Cave Vampires were another human species. They spent most of their time in dark places (mostly in caves). Most of their diet was made out of blood. They could eat a small amount of meat and vegetation, but their stomachs could only handle so much solid food. This is because the alien species that made the Sabertooth Humans made them to hunt food for them, and since those aliens couldn’t handle the effects blood had on them, they trained the Cave Vampires to give them the meat after they stuck out all of the blood. They also gave them claws (which were similar to the claws of an anteater) and skin that was as white as snow. They were also all hunchbacks, which made it easier for them to travel through the cave systems of their plant. Due to them being so pale and all redheaded, they couldn’t stay out in the sun for long, so like the redheads of reality, they produced their own vitamin D. Years after their alien overlords left them, they formed an alliance with the Sabertooth Humans and, with Space Hares and dogs that evolved to be bipedal, traveled out to space to search for their own relatives.
More creatures will be introduced in the future.
