I find it funny (funny strange, not funny haha) that when 3000+ people died in the Word Trade Center attack, it was the most shocking, most devastating event ever in world history. Granted there were elements that made it shocking, but I don't think those elemenys are strong enough to separate it from other incidences of mass killing. What I can't figure out is why when a similar civilian death toll came from the recent war in Iraq, nobody seemed to care. Iraqis are people too, aren't they? Hell, even the American soldier death toll that has amounted AFTER the war was officially "over" should be enough for people to be outraged at the whole thing, but I digress. Just because it's a war, that doesn't justify 3000+ deaths, especially civilian deaths.

Now, if Bush knowingly decieved the world to make his case for the war (which there's a good likelihood of), are we going to deem him a terrorist? Probably not. Why not? Just because the deaths took place over a period of months instead of minutes? Death is death, no matter how long it takes.

If Bush didn't knowingly decieve the world and the whole thing was the result of bad intelligence, then that just goes to show that his doctrine of pre-emption won't work, as it requires perfect intelligence, which is clearly not feasable.

Either way, thousands people are needlessly dead, which just goes to show how much of an ass Bush is (there are more reasons, but I'll save those for later)...he does make a great muse for socio-political dissent though.
