Sokka looked to Toph, who was clinging on to his arm, shivering and stumbling in the snow with every step they took."You okay Toph?"
"Oh sure I am Meathead! I love to shiver just for the fun of it! And what's really gre- whoa!
She lost her footing in the snow, but Sokka caught hold of her before she fell.
"And what's really great," she continued, "I can't see anything out here!"
Sokka laughed softly and placed his hand on hers. In a soft voice he said, "That's why you have me."
Toph quickly turned her head so he couldn't see her blush.
"Let's go," he said, smiling.
As they continued on their walk, Toph nuzzled a little closer to Sokka and whispered, "Thanks, Meathead."

I love that line in the puppet master when Sokka says he cant see anything and Tophs says thats why you have me. Love it! I was doodling some tokka sketchs and I had a piece where Toph couldnt see where she was and Sokka was all like, "Thats why you have me", and then BOOM!!! I decided to use it for the weather prompt, and here it is!
I actually like how this came out and that doesn't happen very often. I'm me own worst critic!! And I know I skipped worse case scenerio, I cant decide if I want to do something funny or tragic.

Im just having a real hard time with the prompts. They're good prompts, its just that I can't really think of anything to go with them.

Good question! Hmmm! Depends really. Sometimes I can have the sketch done in like 5 mins or maybe an hour, then I trace over the sketch and then I add colour. Now the colouring does take a while to do, cos if I make a mistake I have to start all over again. In all maybe 3 to 4 hours. Maybe longer.

How do you trace and what do you color with?
For me I start with a pencil sketch, scan it, then do new lineart and color it in Photoshop.

I have a lightbox which I use to trace the sketch. And I use markers and pastel pencils to colour the picture. For example, my weather picture I use the markers on the characters and the background I'd use me pastel pencils.
I would love to colour my pic's on Photoshop!!! I just have no clue how to use the darn thing!!!!

So you 'have' photoshop though? There's a lot of tutorials out there that can teach you what you need to know and I can answer any questions on the basics.
That's cool that you have a lightbox though. Did you make it or buy it? I used to just tape my sketches to the window and trace em that way. Gets tiring standing and drawing though, and the angle of your hands sucks.. but it works!

And yeah, the lightbox, I bought it. Its not that great but it does beat having to tape me sketch's to the window and trace them! And it doesn't strain your hand either!
