In college, I had only a few opportunities to see her bare feet, and only quick glimpses of her soles if I was lucky. Long-distance dating after college had already made it difficult to see her, let alone her feet.

I was DYING for the opportunity to see her bare soles, which was going to be an absolute certainty once we reached her apartment.
