Dijiang is the name of a mountain patron God of ancient Chinese Mythology. Originally Dijiang was referenced in the ancient Chinese classic known as “Classic of Mountains and Seas. While also other version of the details around Dijiang. But over all no matter what Dijiang are considered related or one in the same of the personification of Hundun, who is a legendary face-less being of primal chaos.
Dijiang’s body is described to resemble a round yellow sack-like body. It is said to exude a “cinnabar” aura which encompassing an emptiness like cosmic space. It is also said to possess a total six legs that are even distance from each other on the body. On top of six legs Dijiang is said to be winged complete with two sets of bird-like or some would describe them as even angel-like wing.
Dijiang more than any thing is a creature of pure chaos and randomness, said to live in a constant state of confusion. Where ever Dijiang goes it’s very presence brings mayhem and destruction with it. Dijiang is said to enjoy being present to singing and dancing.

My version of Dijiang is considered a type of angel and takes the shape and form of the incarnation of randomness, natural disasters,and blindness. Dijiang currently at time of focus in my time-line resides on Nova Sif(future Venus).
My Dijiang’s body is shape generally like a egg. It’s lower half is adorned with six digitigrade legs at the ends of which there is feet equipped with three toes each. Due to Dijiang’s omni-directional nature it’s legs facing odd directions with the legs at the ends of the creature faces towards the middle of Dijiang’s body,with the remaining two middle legs of the creature faces in opposite directions away from the center of the body. The remaining features of note on Dijiang’s body. Is that Dijiang does not possess any true head or face but it does possess a way of sustaining its self that being the two small small oval-shaped plates for lack of a better word, each placed in the middle of long sides of Dijiang’s body. From these hard plates can emerge a long chitinnis tendril that acts as a tongue for interacting with and to eat with. On top of the anatomical features another thing to note of Dijiang’s appearance is that Dijiang is covered in a layer of fuzzy hair covering most of the creatures body except for it’s feet.
As mentioned previously that as of my time of interest in my time line that Dijiang currently resides among valleys of the mountain range located equatorial along the west coast on Nova Sif’s(future Venus) main land mass. On Nova Sif there is a mostly impoverished group of future humans that call Nova Sif home. This group calls them selves the Sūnzi which is Mandarin Chinese for Grandchildren. The ancestors of the Sūnzi were made up of who would be our modern Japanese, South Koreans,and Taiwanese who settled the surface of what at the time was known as Venus. The reason I mentioned the Sūnzi because you see Sūnzi widely practice religious faith. About a third of Sūnzi who resides on Nova Sif worship include prayers to Dijiang. In fact Dijiang in Sūnzi culture serves a role a lot like our modern concept of Karma.

Pretty proud of this drawing I did here. When I drew my Dijiang I noticed often at the time when I drew this I drew several creatures featuring fur or feathers that I would say I’m pretty happy with how it turned out this one including. As with most of my art that are parts I like and also parts I don't like, and the part of this drawing I like the least has to be the wings I definitely don’t like the wing on this creature.
My Spore version of Dijiang I pretty much consider a failure that’s all there is to say.
This post marks the first post to be put up sense running out of OC Creature Concept posts. So got a new posting schedule which go as follows three cryptid post each separated from each other by a two day break than two days and then a Metroid inspired creature post then the day after that Metroid creature I’ll post some Custom Magic Card then two more days then a cryptid post fallowed by two more cryptid posts each two days apart from another Metroid inspired creature post than the the order repeats.
The next post is a cryptid from the early days of American culture that post should be up as either Feb 22nd or 23rd.
