So..... Adventure Time has ended, and boy did it go out with a bang.
I've been watching this show since it started, its been part of my life for the past eight, almost nine, years. Now its over.... and it feels like there's a hole inside my heart. It feels like i lost an old friend.

Now about this artwork...
Fern, man.... I've always loved morally grey characters, but Fern takes it to a new level. Before him, i didn't even really have a favorite character. I think what really gets me is how understandable he is as a character; how would you feel if suddenly you found out that there was another you? If everyone you knew insisted that this other you was the real one? Worse than that, you had this little voice in your head that seemed to have more power over your actions than you did.
Probably what i like most about Fern is the fact that I can understand his struggles with feeling not quite good enough. Those thoughts that someone else is doing everything better than me, getting mad at myself because nothing I do seems to work out the way I want it to. All the frustration, always asking, "why bother? I'm not good enough to do this." Sometimes you just need to step back and remind yourself, "Its not a competition, just because you're not doing well right now doesn't mean it will be this way forever. I know you're frustrated, but you've come a long way, don't let all that progress go to waste."
