"Training Time"

The sun grazed the horizon and Houndbite and Infernopaw stood face to face, ready to begin a morning sparring session. The sun shone bright red hues onto the training field and Infernopaw was eager to battle it out and prove his worth.

The two cats circled, eyes locked on each other to take advantage of any weakness that may present itself. Infernopaw made the first move, lunging forward with strength. Infernopaw was larger than the normal apprentice and he was going to try and use his size to an advantage. Unfortunately, the seasoned warriors experience far outmatched the apprentice and Houndbite easily parried the attack. Pushing Infernopaw to the ground, the apprentice growled out in frustrations.

Infernopaw leaped to his feet quickly and launched another attacked on Houndbite. Eyes alight with determination, he tried to swipe Houndbite's paws out from under him. Houndbite was impressed with Infernopaws tenacity but he wasn't just going to let his apprentice win so easily. With a well timed dodge-and-grab, Houndbite snagged Infernopaw's hind leg and swung him upside down. With a heavy "UMPH" Infernopaw slammed into the ground and the wind was knocked out of him. Infernopaw reluctantly tapped out to take a breather and Houndbite took the opportunity to teach Infernopaw why all of his attacks failed and how to improve his form. Infernopaw had been pushed to his limits today, but he still has much to learn.
