The ISRESC a scientific behemoth of a ship that had been lost for decades stumbles across a strange unknown object hidden in a dust cloud surrounding a Binary star system in an unknown location. The nature and purpose of the contraption is yet to be determined by the automated analysis equipment or by the might-be-no-more ship's scientific crew.

During its third year in service, the ship went to investigate a strange phenomenon. It turned out to be a worm-hole, an extremely rare anomaly. As they moved closer for more accurate readings, the hole became unstable and as it collapsed in on itself, it sucked the ISRESC in.

The ship and its crew are now stranded in an unknown irregular-dwarf type galaxy they dubbed it 'The Wastelands' for its apparent lack of any planet which could sustain life. Though, so far, not all this galaxy's stars has been observed and studied. There might still be hope for them to build a new home.

but this mysterious object? what can it be? Can it possibly be a way home?
