Attitude Transcendsthe eyes are the mirror to the soul
and mine is the soul of the Tiger.
Sleek and compelling,
Softness and sheen.
I am the Tiger!
I always start my pieces with the eyes. The eyes are the mirror of the soul and therefore the most important feature. "Her" eyes always held the satiny sheen of a tiger to me.
"Attitude Transcends" is about how attitude is everything in the world of the transsexual/gendered.
Piece: 16 x 22
Medium: Charcoal
Tools: charcoal sticks and blending stumps
Total drawing time: about 16 working hours

Great Job. Love charcoal, don't use it nearly enough myself, I might have to break it out again... I like the shading and the balance of the jacket versus the hair...

The hair and eyes are great, not a problem about them at all. The pupils look like they could have a once-over, on a close-up they look kind of awkward, same with the lips, but if the reference was like that then you might want to stick with that. I like how the nose is, tho. Everything else is great but I really dig the shading of the eyes and the hair. It's a nice, light composition with a good contrast up there with the hair and the clothing (looks like velvet), I'd say you had exceptional placing on the two darkest areas to draw into the eyes, I do believe if you fixed the pupils it could be a better composition all over. Peace.
