Description

The sky shifted as Vora broke over the horizon, dawn beginning the new day. The snow has melted and fed the rivers with its icy slush. With its regained strength, the Sun thawed the remains of Phidite's wrath. Calypso pushed through the returning glades, buds of flowers bloomed amongst the vast ocean of green fields, the ground warm for a change. It was as if the land rejoined in Vora's return, as did Volaires. Caohr seemed to bless the land now kissed by Vora with life and warmth, making Calypso's morning run pleasant. Her sides heaved, but she refused to let her exhaustion show as she settled beside a small creek. The chilled wind cooled her fur, and a sudden movement caught her attention as she leaned down for a drink. Brown hares exploded into motion - fleeing the possible predator they saw within Calypso. Settling onto her haunches, she took a moment, letting the new season settle into her bones and for her to relish in the warm rays.

Proper credits are below, but this was one of two scenery paintings I commissioned a while ago that I never used for their intended purpose. They've been sitting on my computer and thought they deserved love and recognition so I decided to use them for spring C: Calypso loves all the sunny seasons, spring having its own special place as she gets to see life return to the grasslands. However, she doesn't enjoy the shedding and itchy fur that comes along with it.
