this is great, i love the colour pallette used, and how the autumnal tones accentuate the greyish tones on the houses boarding, and the stone walls.

In your opinion, (if you've wroked with water color or Arcylics) which one is a better medium for a beginning painter, oil, water color, or acrylic?

Oil is good because You can always correct any mistake! Proces is long, but oil is alive, You can paint alive man and feel his scent! Acrylics are simmilar,but dry is faster, You can correct, but, in my oppinion, colors are a little dead! You can combine and put details in oil! Water color is a metter of every day training, little mistake and You can throw some expensive peace of paper!
At last, real good oil painting You can obserwe till end of the life and all time You can see something new! Excellent water color have been seen after 3-6 months!
And, please, it is only my personal oppinion, Your simpations are most important!

I thought it was a photo! Perspective, lighting and colour are just so realistic!

It seems a bit nostalgic to me, like those old villages surrounded by nature with their rural charm

Of course, there are so many details that I miss, or left, details of roof tiles, shadow under the arches... I mention it because I love to paint those beautiful details!

wow this is so great. when i first looked at it i assumed it was a photo, but then i read it was a painting. its stunning. this subject was such an interesting one to pick, im having a hard time taking my eyes off it!

Theme is very serious (mass abandoning villages and houses) and a work must be serious! And beside, I found it pretty, and it was nice work with shadows, with background and with woods of all kind!
