Kismet. A character who I'll be using in at least one OC competition here on dA, as well as writing a short story about, hopefully to be published. I really quite like her so far.

Age: 22

Personality - Kismet is programmed to kick ass. From the dance floor to doing the laundry, she does nothing halfway. Has the gift (or curse) of singular focus, throwing herself into whatever project or objective has her current interest. This can either work to her advantage (she pursues dance with a fervor that borders on a mania... and is very, very good because of it), or detriment (get her busy on something interesting and she practically won't notice a bomb going off next to her). Detests her psychic abilities and tries very hard just to be normal and stable... and fails miserably.

Strengths and weaknesses - If there's music, she's coordinated as a damn ninja. Give her a beat and Kismet can pirouette her way around a minefield safely. The same extends outside of dancing proper - as long as she can form a rhythm (she beatboxes if there's none available, doesn't realize she's doing it), she has extremely heightened dexterity, agility and control. Of course, it's a double-edged sword... if there's no music and her self-rhythm-accompanying is impaired, by her being distracted or something, she's likely to trip over nonexistent objects, flail, flop, and break valuable vases.

Quirks - Has an unusually high-pitched, oddly toned giggle. She hates it, and tries to keep it under control, usually making do with a wry smirk or forcedly throaty chuckle... but if something really catches her the right way (and Kismet has an odd sense of humor), she practically explodes with earsplitting lulz. Allergic to seafood; breaks out in hives. Beatboxes under her breath when nervous.

Mini-Bio: A fortune teller who wants to be a dancer. Her entire family have been in the psychic business, every last one a fake - except her. And they pressure her mightily to follow in the family business. By some weird fluke, Kismet actually IS a psychic, but she absolutely hates it... so tries to be the WORST psychic in the world. She makes crazy shit up, trying so hard to be wrong... but no matter how insane, it always comes true. Things turn strange very quickly around her. And all the girl wants is to dance...
