This is a wonderful, natural portrait. I love the contrast between the bright green grass and the deep red of the shirt. The angle is, of course, the very best part. I love that the subject looks up into the camera, demanding that we meet his gaze. The pose is a nice, relaxed one, and makes the grass seem so inviting. The grass itself looks so very, very perfect, and I like that we get to glimpse more of it in the blurred background. The lighting is also lovely... soft enough to draw out the texture of the skin, and bright enough to show us the details of his face. I also like the way the short, prickly grass contrasts against the soft curly texture of his hair. Well done!
