I have this hanging on my wall! I claimed it from the london gallery show yesterday - my flatemate was a little confused when I brought it home but it now has pride of place in the living room and I couldn't be happier - great shot!

I thought it was jolly lovely, and a great idea - ciche I know but I hope its the first of many of this sort of thing (even if they dont flog all the merchandise afterwrds! ) Did you manage to get along to the gallery and see it? I wasn't there till after work, but would have asked for an autograph if I'd have spotted you!

I remember when I went into an art competition for Remembrance Day. I ended up losing because my competition ripped off your artwork and passed it off as her 'original idea'. I still remember that very day and it haunts me what people will do in order to become praised like amazing artists.
I've always loved this piece and knew she ripped it off the moment I saw her image... but no one would believe me.

When was this and who ran the competiton?
There is no place for people who rip off work and pass it off as their own, that is the lowest of the low. If I can expose this person then I will.

I was in grade 9 or 10 at the time, so it would have been the October of 2007 or 2008, a long time ago.
It was for the Canadian legion's Remembrance Day contest, the Woodlands division. But it was such a long time ago that I don't know if anyone else would remember.
I had done a really good poster about Hiroshima too... but I got beaten from her ripped off idea. I think her name was Chelsea, I just remember she was a year older then me and the popular girl.

That's horrible to hear. Nothing angers and upsets me more than people claiming others work as their own. There is no honour in that at all.
