This is part of my 2.0 AU, specifically an arc called “Dragon Arc”
If you’ve seen my previous posts about Kowloon for this AU then you have a vague idea what’s going on, but to summarize: Kowloon’s father is the leader of the Black Dragon Mafia, one of the most dangerous criminal organizations due to the fact their leader has a dragon curse. His ancestor, Shi Jin, took the soul of the Black Dragon into his own body to try and get more power. This has basically resulted in his bloodline having a dragon curse that’s passed down to each member when they turn 10, a tattoo on their back the conduit for the Black Dragon’s spirit to be transferred over. Two people can have this curse at once even if there’s only one Black Dragon, think Eda and Lilith Clawthorne. Kowloon didn’t get this tattoo at 10 however, since due to circumstances I’ll reveal later he was separated from his father at age 5. Years later, his father ends up terminally ill with no other heirs and he’s desperate. It’s a shame that Kowloon and Alpha Girl happened to decide to vacation in a city the Black Dragon mafia inhabits. It’s also a shame that a member of a rival group recognized Kowloon and nearly killed him in a bar stabbing, leaving him vulnerable enough in a hospital while everyone else was asleep/away for him to be kidnapped by his father. The effects of this curse on Kowloon are…not gonna be fun at first, to say the least.
