A piece I did for the NY Times "A Year In Review". I was a semi finalist, but alas, not the winning illustrator.Here is my version of an ode to Woodstock and it's 40th anniversary, the celebrities that have passed this year, 3D movie characters, and Marvel as purchased by Disney.
A fun piece to do, though I think I'm all set on drawing LEGO people for a while. This one took a whoole lot of light boxing.

Next to Carl and above Captain America, the woman in black looks alot like Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist (EXCEPT the oraborus tattoo.)
