You sat at the base of large tree, arms pulled tightly around your knees shivering as a gust of wind swept passed you. It had been days since anyone came this way and hunger was starting to set in; you sighed and laid your head on top of your knees closing your eyes you tried to will your hunger away. As the day went on you began to lose hope, but at night fall you heard faint laughing, standing slowly you walked toward the sound till you could see a small orange glow with shapes moving around it. You approached slowly, staying out of sight, as you drew near you could smell whatever it was the people were cooking and it made your mouth water.

You stopped in your tracks when you finally saw whose camp you were approaching ‘Dwarves…’ you thought to yourself ‘and a hobbit?’ you shook your head. ‘People means food. I can wait till their asleep and take what I need.’ You slipped back into the shadows to await your chance to get into the camp.
